Donese
Donese is an Atlanta native who has dedicated her life to serving God and others. She is the mother of two amazing children, a philanthropist, a business owner, a career counselor, a youth mentor, and a warrior for Christ.
Donese is the author of the book series Rise In Purpose. She is also a speaker at women’s conferences and various events around the world.
She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, long walks in nature, cooking plant-based meals, and reading inspirational books.

Story
My 16-year-old son Grant Antonio Payton was a victim of senseless gun violence on May 29, 2018. Grant had recently started his first job, and three weeks later, his life was taken from him. I was filled with depression, anger, and despair.
I begged God, and pleaded with God for him to help me. The pain was too much for me to overcome on my own. God not only answered my prayers, but he also turned my pain into purpose. I was set free from all my addictions, fears, and self-sabotaging behaviors.
I started a natiowide non-profit organization for youth to keep Grant’s legacy alive and to help reduce crime in our communities.
